Do you love Game of Thrones? Brooklyn Tensla and James Kimey are fans of Game of Thrones, so they picked the opening theme for their wedding dance. To make the most of their first dance, they began their lessons 9 months in advance of the wedding. The theme to Game of thrones is a dramatic Viennese waltz. So we customized historic dance pieces from the middle ages to fit their skills and theme. As they progressed James brought his mom in to work on the mother son dance as well. She had a delightful time learning to rhythm dance to “What a wonderful world.” It was not enough for this wonderful couple to have a dramatic first dance. They also worked on some swing so they could dance the night away at Bella Serra on December 15, 2018.

November Frist Dance

Nurse and Web Designer Rock there Reception

Many look at Ballroom as a stuffy and outdated dance style that can in no way compete with the upbeat pace of today’s solo dance styles. That didn’t stop Chris Cruz and Amanda though, they went above and beyond to deliver a memorable first dance to the theme of Jurassic Park for there first dance. They performed the foxy the day of November seventeenth, 2018, and it went off without a hitch. I’ve seen many couple come though the studio, but I will always remember the smiles on the faces of Chris and Amanda when they found out that they could and would land the perfect first dance for there wedding. Cheers to them as they spend their honey moon in Italy.

On August 11, 2018 Katya Velarde and David Elsner tied the knot in a destination wedding in Lima Peru. Katya was born and raised in Peru, so it made sense to plan their wedding in Peru. The happy couple worked on a night club two step to the song “Perfect” In addition to a fabulous first dance, they also worked on a Peruvian traditional wedding dance, the Viennese waltz to “Blue Danube. ” But wait that is not all. When traveling south of the border, you should know a little salsa. This lovely couple also added a little merengue and salsa so they could bur the floor on those hot Peruvian nights. What a joy to teach such an ambitious wedding couple.

Electrical Engineer and Veterinarian tie Swing for their first dance

Swing is an upbeat choice for a first dance. Cara Edelstein and Spencer Hinton chose to rock their reception with a swing to “Dance with me tonight” by ollie Muurs. Kara went so far as to purchase a vintage reception dress and add special laces to her vans for her first dance. They practiced for 9 months and added in extra social dances like rumba, cha cha, and merengue. When the big day came on September 23 2019 at the Moss reception hall they nailed every move. After the honeymoon they came back to work on Foxtrot. They look forward to a lifetime of dance and romance.

Andy Kamath & Andrea’s Wedding Dance

Weddings aren’t easy. Just ask any couple. Andy & Andrea’s was no exception with all the planning and time it took to organize. However, we applaud them because even with their busy schedule they found the extra time to learn how to dance. We worked together with them to figure out their perfect wedding dance and boy was it fun! They danced a flirty Foxtrot to their chosen song, “The Way You Look Tonight.” Our teachers couldn’t be more proud of how Andy Kamath & Andrea’s wedding dance turned out. We know that they swept their friends and families away. We wish them the best with their new life together and hope they continue dancing on the right foot.

Jeb Putzier Tackled Wedding Dance

Jeb Putzier and Bailey wedding dance

Jeb Putzier is famous as a tight end for the Denver Broncos from 2002-2005 (link). He proposed to Bailey (see here) in August of 2017. The wedding planning was full of tough planning but he totally tackled his wedding dance.

About Jeb

Mr. Putzier is no stranger to tackles. As a Bronco tight end, Jeb was constantly tackled. As a result, he endured many injuries and concussions. With a warrior’s spirit Jeb overcame all his limitations to sweep Bailey off her feet for his first dance.

Jeb’s Wedding Dance

Bailey and Jeb brought their song “Nothing with You” acoustic version by the Dolly Riots came to me, Holly Collins, at Adventures in Dance. Holly then designed a first dance around Jeb’s strengths. Let me tell you, Jeb is a strong man at 6’4” and 256 lb. But, it was his musical strength from playing guitar that helped Jeb to dance.Licence to dance Jeb and Bailey Putzier

My hero

I am not a football fan, but Jeb has become my hero. Each lesson he applied himself to leaning to dance no matter what physical discomfort he was enduring. With a smile and a shrug, he would dance across the ballroom floor with Bailey. Even after a tough incident resulting in skinned knees, he tied his shoes and stepped up to dance. Hero does not begin to describe the giant gentle Jeb.

Licensed to wedding dance

At the end of his wedding dance training Jeb graduated. He earned his license to dance after demonstrating his wedding dance to a couple of teachers at Adventures in Dance. Robyn Collins was so impressed that she gave him a support staff as a wedding gift.Support Staff for Jeb Putzier

Jeb’s Wedding

The semi-formal wedding of Jeb and Bailey Putzier was in Cherry Creek with a pink, purple, and blue theme on Saturday July 28th. The happy newlyweds are doing a staycation visiting with friends and family after the wedding. They are looking forward to tackling a lifetime of fun and dance together. I wish them the best of luck and many years of joy to come.

Weddings are ever evolving and it’s exciting because we’ll never know what people will think of next. Take Marti and Monica for example, they our one of our first lesbian wedding graduates! We couldn’t be happier too, as this amazing couple danced with joy all the way to their wedding! Monica and Marti learned a Foxtrot to their chosen song “Perfect” and I can say with absolute certainty that we all went, “awwww” at the studio when they first came to dance. Now they’re off on an exciting new life together and we just can’t wait to see where they dance off to next!
